U.S. auto dealers call for slower electric car rollout

More than 5,000 U.S. auto dealers recently signed an open letter urging the U.S. government to review and adjust its clean car strategy. This is the third letter this year calling for relaxation of emission standards and electric vehicle mandates. Dealers said that the serious backlog of electric vehicle inventory, reduced tax incentives, severe lack of charging infrastructure and insufficient consumer demand make the proposed electric vehicle mandate completely unrealistic.
