AMD launches Instinct MI300 accelerator card to challenge Nvidia's market position

AMD launched the Instinct MI300 accelerator card, aiming to grab market share from Nvidia. The chip has received orders from large companies such as Microsoft, Meta, Oracle, Google and Amazon. AMD's MI300X chip outperformed Nvidia's H100 SXM chip in multiple computing power tests. The MI300X has a HBM capacity of up to 192GB, more than double the 80GB of the H100 SXM chip.
