China's top ten initiatives for high-quality development of vehicle-road-cloud integration released

At the "2024 Vehicle-Road Collaborative Innovation and Development Forum" hosted by the China Highway Society, the China Society of Automotive Engineers, and the China Institute of Communications, Li Keqiang, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, released ten initiatives for concerted action on the integration of vehicles, roads, and clouds. The ten initiatives include: building consensus and coordination, taking "people and goods flow smoothly" as the starting point, and giving full play to the technical advantages of smart highways, intelligent connected vehicles, C-V2X communications, etc.; leading high-quality development with new quality productivity, strengthening basic technology research, focusing on resource sharing, and carrying out collaborative innovation; taking the opportunity of deepening reform to build a system and mechanism that adapts to the integrated development of vehicles, roads and clouds, and promote the introduction and implementation of relevant policies and regulations; promoting the consistency standards and planning of vehicle-road-cloud integration, and clarifying the specific requirements of participants such as vehicles, roads, and communications in terms of application scenarios and key technical indicators; creating a series of brand activities for the integrated development of vehicles, roads, and clouds, and building a collaborative development platform for information sharing and results sharing; promoting cross-domain collaboration, jointly building an industrial ecology, and forming a new industrial ecological system of mutual integration and benefit sharing; deepening the integrated development of intelligent connected vehicles and smart highways, intelligent transportation, smart cities, and smart energy, and promoting the "double improvement" of safety and efficiency; promoting green and low-carbon development and building a sustainable development management system; promoting relevant certification mechanisms for talent training and team building for the integration of vehicles, roads, and clouds; strengthening the construction of coordinated and consistent innovation consortia, and creating a coordinated, unified, and sustainable business model.
