The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology publicly solicits opinions on the recycling of electric bicycle lithium batteries

On December 18, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology publicly solicited opinions on the "Management Measures for the Recycling and Comprehensive Utilization of Lithium-ion Batteries for Electric Bicycles (Draft for Comments)". The measures recommend that electric bicycle manufacturers and electric bicycle lithium battery manufacturers strengthen green design during the product development stage to improve the disassembly, recyclability and maintainability of the products. In addition, these companies are also required to be responsible for the recycling of waste lithium batteries, establish a recycling network using various existing recycling channels, and provide recycling services.
