Volkswagen and Xpeng jointly develop two Volkswagen-branded electric vehicles

Volkswagen announced that it would acquire approximately 4.99% of Xpeng's shares for US$700 million and jointly develop two Volkswagen-branded electric vehicles. The first SUV model will be put into production in Hefei in 2026.
