Hunan Zhongjing Lithium Battery New Material Technology Co., Ltd. has launched a waste lithium battery recycling project in Hengdong Economic Development Zone, Hengyang City. The project plans to process 80,000 tons of waste lithium batteries per year. The first phase of the project will mainly process 40,000 tons of waste power lithium battery packs, including 30,000 tons of lithium iron phosphate batteries and 10,000 tons of ternary lithium batteries. In addition, 25,000 tons of waste power batteries will be recycled. The project covers an area of ​​80,000 square meters, with a total investment of 583.6223 million yuan and an environmental protection investment of 30 million yuan.
