Toyota plans to build new factory in Shanghai to produce Lexus electric vehicles

Toyota has decided to build a new plant in Shanghai, which is expected to start operation around 2027 and mainly produce Lexus cars for the Chinese market. In 2023, Lexus sales in China are expected to be about 180,000 vehicles.
