Jiangsu's list of major projects for 2024 announced, involving Mini/Micro LED and silicon carbide projects

Jiangsu Province recently announced a list of major projects for 2024, totaling 510 projects, including 450 implementation projects and 60 reserve projects. Many of these projects are related to Mini/Micro LED and silicon carbide (SiC). For example, Zhangjiagang BOE Huacan LED epitaxial wafer and chip project, Taizhou Yongsheng Optoelectronics MiniLED backlight and screen project, Suqian Jucan Optoelectronics Mini Micro LED chip project, etc. Among them, BOE Huacan LED epitaxial wafer and chip project has an investment of 1.5 billion yuan, with a planned construction period of four years, focusing on the research and development and production of new full-color Mini/Micro LED high-performance epitaxy and chips. Jucan Optoelectronics Mini Micro LED chip project plans to invest 1.55 billion yuan, mainly for plant construction and purchase of production equipment. After completion, it will form an annual production capacity of 7.2 million Mini/Micro LED chips.
