China's silicon carbide wafer foundry prices drop by 70%

The foundry price of 6-inch silicon carbide wafers in mainland China has dropped to US$1,200 to US$1,800 per piece, a 70% drop from the price of US$4,000 per piece more than two years ago. This is mainly due to the fact that mainland China has invested heavily in the construction of related supply chains in recent years and increased the production capacity of silicon carbide wafers.
