New light-atom entanglement chip helps build quantum internet

Zhou Qiang, professor at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China and director of the Quantum Internet Frontier Research Center of Tianfu Jiangxi Laboratory, said that the newly developed erbium-doped lithium niobate light-atom entanglement chip is compatible with existing fiber-optic communication infrastructure, supports multi-channel broadband quantum entanglement storage, and helps build a light-atom entanglement interface and expand the coverage of the quantum Internet.
