Effect of Mn/Fe Ratio on Tensile Properties of Al-Cu Alloy

The study found that under gravity casting conditions, as the Mn/Fe ratio increases, the tensile strength, yield strength and elongation of the alloy will increase first and then decrease with the increase of the Mn/Fe ratio, reaching the maximum value when the Mn/Fe ratio is 1.2. Under squeeze casting conditions, the change trend of the tensile strength and yield strength of the alloy with the Mn/Fe ratio is the same as that under gravity casting conditions, reaching the maximum value when the Mn/Fe ratio is 0.9, while the elongation after fracture decreases slightly with the increase of the Mn/Fe ratio.
