Soliciting opinions on the Measures for the Recycling and Comprehensive Utilization of Lithium-ion Batteries for Electric Bicycles

On December 18, the Energy Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the "Management Measures for the Recycling and Comprehensive Utilization of Lithium-ion Batteries for Electric Bicycles (Draft for Comments)". The measures aim to regulate the recycling and comprehensive utilization of lithium-ion batteries for electric bicycles, emphasize that electric bicycle manufacturers should bear the main responsibility for recycling waste lithium batteries, and work with electric bicycle lithium battery manufacturers to strengthen green design in the product development stage to improve the disassembly, recyclability and maintainability of products.
