South Korea surpasses Taiwan to become the world's second largest chip producer

Thanks to early investments in the chip industry, South Korea's Samsung and SK Hynix have become global chip leaders. South Korea accounts for more than half of the global NAND flash memory and DRAM markets. It is expected that by 2032, South Korea will become the world's second largest chip producer.
