Japanese chipmaker Rapidus sets up subsidiary in the U.S. to attract AI companies as clients

Japanese chip maker Rapidus has established a subsidiary, Rapidus Design Solutions, in Silicon Valley, California, USA, aiming to attract artificial intelligence (AI) companies as customers. The subsidiary is located in Santa Clara, home to well-known chip companies such as Nvidia and Intel. Rapidus President Atsuyoshi Koike attended a press conference to announce the establishment of the subsidiary together with IBM Semiconductor General Manager Mukesh Khare.
