The construction of Japan's Rapidus 2nm chip factory is progressing smoothly in Chitose City, Hokkaido, and is scheduled to start trial production in April 2025. In addition, the company has set up the "Chitose Office" in Chitose City as a communication window with local companies. Rapidus said it has cooperated with IBM to promote the research and development of 2nm logic chip production technology, and learned from imec the EUV lithography equipment technology required to produce the most advanced chips.
