AMD plans to acquire AI software startup Nod.ai to catch up with Nvidia

AMD has announced plans to acquire artificial intelligence (AI) startup Nod.ai as part of a push to bolster its software capabilities. AMD plans to invest heavily in key software needed for the company’s advanced AI chips as it seeks to catch up with rival chipmaker Nvidia.
