Chery Automobile plans to build a manufacturing plant in Thailand

According to foreign media reports, the Secretary General of the Thai Board of Investment revealed that Chery Automobile will build a manufacturing plant in Thailand and plans to start producing cars in 2025. The initial goal of the plant is to produce 50,000 hybrid and electric vehicles per year, and the annual output is expected to increase to 80,000 by 2028. Chery will become the eighth Chinese automaker to invest in manufacturing cars in Thailand after BYD, Great Wall Motors, Changan Automobile, SAIC Group, GAC Group, Geely Automobile and Hozon.
