LG Chem and General Motors sign nearly $19 billion battery cathode material supply agreement

South Korea's LG Chem has signed a long-term supply contract worth $18.8 billion with General Motors, pledging to supply more than 500,000 tons of electric vehicle battery positive electrode materials to GM from 2026 to 2035.
