NIO plans to sell Firefly-branded cars through dealer network

Unlike direct-to-consumer sales, NIO's new brand "Firefly" will be sold through an existing dealer network. These dealers will also sell other brands of cars and provide battery-free vehicle sales options. Consumers need to lease batteries from manufacturers and pay a subscription fee to use the network of swap stations. This "battery as a service" model can reduce the initial cost of buying a car, but car owners need to bear monthly fees.
