Toshiba and Rohm to jointly build a new factory, expected to be completed in March 2025

Toshiba Electronics, a subsidiary of Toshiba Electronics and Storage, is building a new factory in Nomi City, Ishikawa Prefecture. The factory is expected to be completed in March 2025 and will be equipped with a new 12-inch silicon power semiconductor wafer manufacturing line. Toshiba and Rohm Semiconductor have reached an agreement under which Toshiba's Nomi Power Semiconductor Factory will begin production integration with Rohm's newly developed silicon carbide (SiC) power semiconductor factory in Kunitomi City, Miyazaki Prefecture.
