Rivian receives $827 million in subsidies to expand its factory

Rivian, a new American car brand, announced that it has received a $827 million financial subsidy from the state of Illinois to expand its production facilities and produce the new R2 model to increase vehicle production capacity. Rivian will continue to produce R1S, R1T electric trucks and commercial electric vans at its Normal plant in Illinois.
