Volkswagen and Mobileye collaborate on developing L4 ID.Buzz AD autonomous driving system

Volkswagen Group and Israel's Mobileye Technology Company have cooperated to jointly develop the L4 ID.Buzz AD autonomous driving system based on ID.Buzz. It is expected to be put into use in 2026 and will be applied to other L2+ level models. The system is equipped with 13 cameras, 9 lidars, 5 radar units and 2 computers, which can achieve 360° environmental imaging. Volkswagen hopes that ID.Buzz will be widely used in the fields of freight and passenger transportation.
