Ecobat teams up with Volkswagen UK to recycle batteries

Volkswagen Group UK has renewed its contract with battery recycling specialist Ecobat, expanding its cooperation to include the collection and recycling of used electric vehicle batteries. Ecobat has been Volkswagen's partner in the UK since 2014, initially only involved in the recycling of lead-acid batteries, and later expanded to high-voltage batteries. Under the latest agreement, Ecobat will process recycled lithium-ion batteries in the UK and extract the materials in them.
