ZF Group invests $500 million to transform U.S. transmission plant

On February 19, 2024, ZF Group plans to invest $500 million in its Gray Court transmission plant in South Carolina, USA, to transform the plant into a flexible manufacturer of electric vehicle and gasoline vehicle parts. According to ZF's plan, it will add new production lines to the plant in the next few years and will produce the fourth-generation eight-speed transmission for plug-in hybrid vehicles in North America. Currently, ZF also produces this transmission for the BMW 7 Series and X5 in Germany.
