Japan and EU cooperate to share information on battery materials

Japan and the European Union have reached an agreement to jointly develop a plan to share information on the production locations and supply chains of battery materials. This will help both sides track lithium and other minerals in batteries and prevent these materials from being lost to other regions. At the same time, this information sharing mechanism will also reduce Japan and the European Union's dependence on battery materials produced in China.
