Fudan University team made important breakthrough in 1T-TaS₂ research

Academician Chu Junhao and Huang Hai, a young researcher team from the Institute of Optoelectronics/Department of Materials Science at Fudan University, have recently made important progress in the study of 1T-TaS₂. They systematically studied the multi-step phase transition evolution of 1T-TaS₂ during the I-V scanning process, comprehensively analyzed the effects of temperature change, pulse voltage duration, and near-infrared light on the phase transition, and revealed the joint mechanism of current-driven and thermal-driven phase transitions in the multi-step electroinduced phase transition.
