Tesla's energy storage super factory in Lingang, Shanghai is about to be completed and is expected to be completed by the end of the year. This speed is expected to exceed the construction record of its vehicle super factory. Since the start of construction on May 23, Lingang Group and Tesla have signed the contract for China's first batch of ultra-large electrochemical commercial energy storage systems, Megapack. Tesla's Shanghai Energy Storage Super Factory is scheduled to be put into production in the first quarter of 2025, with an estimated annual production of 10,000 Megapack energy storage systems and an energy storage scale of nearly 40 GWh.
