Intel may reach an agreement with Apollo to build a wafer fab in Ireland

Intel is reportedly in advanced talks with private equity firm Apollo Global Management to secure more than $11 billion in funding to build a new fab in Ireland. The deal could be finalized in the next few weeks. Previously, other investment firms including KKR and Stonepeak had also been involved in financing the plant.
