Stellantis Interested in Acquisition of Punch Powertrain

According to foreign media reports, automobile manufacturing group Stellantis is interested in acquiring Belgian transmission manufacturer Punch Powertrain. Punch Powertrain has played a key role in Stellantis' electrification process, and the transmissions required for hybrid vehicles (including mild hybrid and plug-in hybrid) developed by it have attracted the attention of Stellantis. In particular, Stellantis has shown a strong interest in dual-clutch transmission (DCT) technology. At present, both parties have not responded to this acquisition.
