Volkswagen Group deepens partnership with Chinese startup Xpeng Motors

Volkswagen Group recently announced a deepening of its partnership with Chinese smart car startup Xiaopeng Motors, and the two sides will jointly develop an electric vehicle architecture suitable for the Chinese market. This move aims to reduce the complexity of electronic control systems while enabling rapid and low-cost expansion of digital services and functions. In addition, the new architecture will also support system updates via "over-the-air" (OTA) to maintain the vehicle's advancement and competitiveness.
