ROHM expands silicon carbide supply chain collaboration

Rohm is expanding its supply chain in the silicon carbide market by cooperating with companies such as Vitesco Technologies and Solar Frontier. Rohm plans to produce silicon carbide power semiconductors at the acquired former Guofu plant and plans to start operations at the end of 2024. Rohm has signed a long-term silicon carbide supply agreement with Vitesco Technologies and is expected to start mass production in 2024. Rohm has also signed a long-term agreement with ON Semiconductor to ensure a stable supply of silicon carbide.
