Micron plans two phases of India plant project with total investment of US$2.75 billion

Micron India plans to build a packaging and testing plant in Gujarat, India, in two phases. The clean room area of the first phase is about 46,450 square meters and is expected to be put into operation by the end of this year; the second phase will be launched in the second half of this decade. The total investment in the two phases will reach US$2.75 billion, of which Micron will contribute 30%, and the Indian central government and state governments will provide 50% and 20% financial support respectively.
