Lilium's Technical Challenges

Although Lilium has made certain breakthroughs in technology, it still faces some challenges in practical application. For example, the lift and thrust provided by the small ducted "jet" fan used by Lilium are less energy efficient when hovering, and the power required is about twice that of a similar weight design of a larger tilt-rotor. This directly affects its range and testing time, and in turn affects the speed of its commercial progress.
