Shanghai launches first inland pure electric zero-carbon container ship project

Shanghai's first batch of inland pure electric zero-carbon container ship project has been officially launched in Pudong. The project adopts the business model of "ship-to-electricity separation and battery bank", which is the first attempt in China. The companies involved in the project construction include China Shipbuilding Group, State Power Investment Corporation, COSCO Shipping Group, Shanghai Port Group, SAIC Group and Tsingshan Group. After all are delivered, the total investment in ships and batteries is expected to exceed 1 billion yuan.
