US companies have low reliance on Chinese wafer foundries

A report released by the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) of the U.S. Department of Commerce shows that U.S. downstream terminal manufacturers lack understanding of their chip supply chains, and about half of the companies surveyed cannot confirm whether the chips in their products are manufactured by Chinese wafer foundries. Although more than two-thirds of the terminal manufacturers surveyed may have chips manufactured by Chinese foundries in their products, the proportion is limited.
