SAIC Motor's sales volume declined, but BYD successfully surpassed it

In 2024, SAIC Motor lost its position as the sales champion of Chinese automobile groups for nearly 20 years. In the first 11 months, SAIC Motor was surpassed by BYD, whose cumulative sales reached 3.7573 million vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 40%, and the gap with SAIC Motor widened to about 200,000 vehicles.
