Wolfspeed will not expand its silicon carbide plant for now

Wolfspeed announced its third-quarter results for fiscal year 2024, with silicon carbide revenue increasing by 4.14%. The company said it would no longer expand new silicon carbide plants until the new plants become profitable. In addition, the company has won approximately $870 million in design awards, which are expected to mature in the next five to seven years.
