Wolong Electric Drive plans to invest 2.03 billion to build a new energy project in Damao Banner, Baotou

Wolong Electric Drive, a well-known Chinese manufacturer of motors and control equipment, announced that it will invest in the construction of a new energy plus energy storage grid-building pilot demonstration project with a total installed capacity of 500MW in Damao Banner, Baotou City, Inner Mongolia through its subsidiary Shunfeng New Energy (Damao Banner) Co., Ltd. The total investment of the project is expected to be RMB 2.03 billion. The implementation of the project will include the installation of 50 wind turbines with a single unit capacity of 10MW, of which 5 are grid-building wind turbines. In addition, a 220kV booster station, a 125MW/250MWh lithium iron phosphate battery grid-building energy storage system, a wind turbine box transformer, and access roads and other equipment and facilities will also be built.
