Design and manufacturing of the core component of the torque converter - the guide wheel

Shaanxi Fast Gear Co., Ltd. recently developed an aluminum alloy guide wheel, which is a key component of the torque converter. It has the functions of transmitting torque, changing torque, changing speed and clutching, and has an important impact on the power and fuel economy of the vehicle. The guide wheel is mainly made of hypoeutectic Al-Si alloy, which has good casting properties and a small tendency to thermal cracking. The mass of the guide wheel is 5.3kg, the maximum outer diameter is 274mm, the minimum inner diameter is 122mm, and the height is 91mm. The 17 blades of the guide wheel are evenly distributed between the inner and outer rings, forming the flow channel of the hydraulic oil.
