TSMC announced at the European Technology Symposium that it is preparing to mass produce the performance-enhanced N3P chip at the 3nm node, which will be mass-produced in the second half of 2024. Apple's newly released M4 chip is the only processor currently using the N3E process, and according to TSMC, the yield performance of N3P is close to that of N3E. This continuity ensures that most new chip designs are expected to transition from using N3E to N3P, taking advantage of the latter's improved performance and cost efficiency.
