Rohm acquires Kunitomi plant, invests 300 billion yen to produce silicon carbide wafers

Rohm acquired the Kunitomi plant from a subsidiary of Idemitsu Kogyo and invested 300 billion yen to produce 150mm to 200mm silicon carbide wafers. In addition, Rohm plans to invest 510 billion yen in the seven years from 2021 to 2027 to realize the production increase plan of silicon carbide semiconductors.
