Hyundai Motor Group has built a next-generation battery research building at its research institute in Gyeonggi Province, and equipment for the all-solid-state battery test line is being installed. The test line will include process equipment and is expected to be equipped with a high level of automation, including robotic automation equipment. The equipment for each process is nearly complete, and only the construction of logistics automation equipment remains, and formal production is expected to begin in January next year. Hyundai Motor Group's ultimate goal is to start trial production of electric vehicles equipped with all-solid-state batteries in 2025 and achieve large-scale mass production around 2030.
