Hon Hai Technology Group and Porotech join forces to enter the AR glasses market

Hon Hai Technology Group and British company Porotech announced a collaboration to develop AR glasses. The collaboration will leverage Porotech's gallium nitride (GaN) technology and Hon Hai's MicroLED wafer process, packaging and optical module services to meet the production needs of micro display chips and AR glasses. Hon Hai plans to accelerate its strategic layout in the AR and MicroLED fields and establish a MicroLED wafer production line in Taichung, which is expected to start mass production in the fourth quarter of 2025.
