New breakthroughs in VCSEL research have attracted global attention and promoted the research boom of multi-junction semiconductor devices

The research results of Sichuan University and Everbright Huaxin, led by Professor Wang Jun, published in the journal Light: Science & Applications on the breakthrough of VCSEL (Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser) efficiency, which has attracted widespread attention worldwide. This achievement is considered to have achieved "breaking the limit of efficient VCSEL" and has the potential to reshape the three-dimensional sensing and data center ecosystem. Many internationally renowned science and technology media have reported on this, believing that this represents a major breakthrough in this field.
