Beijing Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd. plans to build an electric vehicle factory in Goyang, South Korea with an annual production capacity of 200,000 vehicles

Chinese automaker Beijing Automotive Works (BAW) plans to cooperate with the Goyang City Government in South Korea to build a factory with an annual production capacity of 200,000 electric vehicles. The factory covers an area of about 2 million square meters and is located in the Goyang Free Economic Zone. According to the memorandum of understanding signed by the two parties, BAW will be responsible for the construction and operation of the factory and export 90% of its production to markets outside South Korea. The Goyang City Government said that they will send a delegation to visit the Chinese headquarters of Beijing Automotive Works next month to better understand the progress of the project and implement relevant agreements.
