Türkiye is an important automobile manufacturing country in the world

Turkey is the 15th largest automobile manufacturer in the world. According to the Turkish Automotive Manufacturers Association (OSD), there are currently 14 large automobile manufacturers in Turkey. Turkey is an ideal base for exporting automobiles to the EU due to its strategic location, connecting Asia and Europe, and having a customs union with the EU. Automobiles were one of Turkey's main exports last year, with exports of automobiles and parts reaching $35.7 billion, of which exports to the EU market amounted to $23.921 billion, accounting for 67% of total exports.
