Wolfspeed's German 8-inch SiC wafer fab project may be delayed until 2025

Wolfspeed's 8-inch SiC wafer fab planned to be built in Ensdorf, Saarland, Germany, was originally expected to start construction in the summer of 2024, but according to the latest reports, the groundbreaking ceremony may be postponed to 2025, and production is planned to start in 2027. Although the project may be delayed, the Saarland government has expressed its willingness to provide more subsidies.
