CATL's investment in Indonesia will create local jobs and boost economic development

The investment plan of Chinese battery manufacturer Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd. (CATL) in Indonesia will not only strengthen its local business layout, but also create local jobs and promote economic development. The project includes nickel mining, RKEF (rotary kiln furnace) and HPAL (high pressure acid leaching) and aims to extract nickel and cobalt from laterite nickel ore for the production of electric vehicle batteries.
