Absolics receives U.S. government funding to expand glass substrate production capacity

In May 2024, the U.S. Department of Commerce announced a grant of $75 million to Absolics, a subsidiary of South Korea's SKC, to support its construction of a new plant in Georgia to expand its glass substrate production capacity. The plant was completed in July this year and began mass production of glass substrate prototype products.
