BYD actively deploys sodium battery technology and enters the two-wheel vehicle market

As a leading company in the new energy industry, BYD is actively deploying sodium battery technology and preparing to enter the two-wheel vehicle market in a big way. In January 2024, BYD (Xuzhou) sodium ion battery project started construction in Xuzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone with a total investment of 10 billion yuan. It will mainly be used to produce sodium ion battery cells and related supporting products, with a planned annual production capacity of 30GWh.
